Managing the Classroom to Maximize Instruction 

Intro

    • Identify one procedure that requires review and overhaul

Do It 

  • Give teachers time to talk with coach and determine a routine, procedural or academic, that needs to be overhauled

    • Provide time to script and plan a “do it again” moment and identify the desired outcome/indicators of success in the classroom 

    • Allow time for role play and practice with skill based teacher/coach mixed groups 

Follow Up/Next Steps: 

  • Teachers script a goal for the impact the overhauled will have on instruction; takes notes to bring to next meeting 

  • Coaches schedule time to observe implementation of the Do It Again and take objective notes on impact on instruction; bring notes to next session
